CERTIFICATION of PRODUCTION In SYSTEM GOST-R

Certification is the assurance of goods' conformity to the existing standard-technical documentation, conducted by the 3rd party (the accredited body of certification).

According to the Russian legislation, it is necessary to obtain the CERTIFICATE of CONFORMITY of GOST-R for any kind of production imported into Russia , as well as goods, manufactured in Russia. When exporting goods to Russia, foreign companies will be required to present CERTIFICATES of CONFORMITY of GOST-R at customs service. Moreover, all wholesale and retail sellers of production working in the Russian market, are obliged to show the Certificates on demand of clients and the state inspectors. For some goods the advertising is prohibited as far as there are no Certificates. All the equipment of factories, plants, building organizations is subject to Gost Russia certification. Without the Conformity Certificates it is impossible to receive licenses for manufacturing and constructing. The Russian consumer most of all pays attention to the certified production. Therefore, CERTIFICATION of your goods will raise the demand for it, will become a big advantage in comparison with the competitors' goods and also will create better conditions for business.

For foreign manufacturer it is not essential to have a representative office in Russia, but if its goods are on sale in this country, CERTIFICATION is a very good marketing tool to attract Russian consumers'' attention and to increase sales.

CERTIFICATION: OBLIGATORY CERTIFICATION and VOLUNTARY CERTIFICATION

OBLIGATORY CERTIFICATION - CONFIRMATION PRODUCTION'S COMPLIANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF TECHNICAL REGULATIONS (SAFETY REQUIREMENTS).

VOLUNTARY CERTIFICATION-CONFIRMATION PRODUCTION'S COMPLIANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS AND ANY PARAMETHERS, ESTABLISHED by the CUSTOMER

Obligatory Certificate of Conformity is issued on a yellow blank.
Voluntary Certificate of Conformity is issued on the dark blue form.

There are 3 types of CERTIFICATES of CONFORMITY of GOST-R:

1. The Consignment Certificate of Conformity of GOST-R (single shipment). In this case the importer - the Russian firm, receives the CERTIFICATE on a single consignment of goods. The certificate is given to the firm-importer in conformity with the Contract and Invoice. For another delivery or other firm-importer this certificate is not valid.

2. The Serial Production Certificate of Conformity of GOST-R For 1 year. It is not necessary to have some concrete importer in Russia, the Certificate is obtained by the firm-manufacturer for a year and gives right to any firm in Russia to export unlimited times and quantities of certified goods.

3. The Serial Production Certificate of Conformity of GOST-R For 3 years. In this case, also, the concrete importer in Russia is not necessary; the manufacturer gets the certificate valid for 3 years. In accordance with national legislation, an obligatory condition to obtain this certificate is the annual inspection trip of the Russian experts of an accredited Certification Body and the examination of conditions of production.
